Daily maintenance tips for Komatsu PC200 excavator I-beam:
I. Daily Inspection: Safety Pre-Work Check
Appearance Cleaning and Initial Inspection
Before operation, remove any soil or sand from the surface of the I-beam frame. We recommend using a high-pressure water gun, and avoid flushing the gaps between the pins. Key inspection points include:
1.Check for cracks in the welds of the upper and lower crossbeams, especially in the stress concentration area on the bucket rod connection side.
2.Check if there are deformed or worn grooves on the edge of the pin shaft hole.
Note: Soil can easily hide fine cracks. After cleaning, use a strong light to inspect.
3.Check the tightness of all connection parts.
Use a torque wrench to check the connecting bolts between the I-beam frame, bucket arm, and bucket. Tighten them according to the torque specified in the manual (usually 280-320 N·m). Replace any missing anti-loosening washers right away. If you find stripped bolts, also inspect the wear of the bolt holes-never force installation.
II. Lubrication Management: Core to Reducing Wear
Lubrication Cycles and Operating Rules
Normal operating conditions: Perform forced lubrication every 250 hours (or 3 months). Add lithium-based grease (NLGI Grade 2 is recommended) to all pin shaft lubrication points.
Harsh working conditions (e.g., stonework operations): Shorten the lubrication interval to once every 100 hours.
1.First, clean the grease nipple.
2.Then use a grease gun to add grease at a steady speed.
3.Stop when new grease overflows from the pin shaft gap-excess grease can damage the seal.
Grease Selection Taboos
Do not mix greases of different brands. This may cause chemical reactions and lead to lubrication failure.
In low-temperature environments (below -10℃), switch to low-temperature grease (e.g., NLGI Grade 1).
In high-temperature environments, use grease with enhanced antioxidant properties.
